MÄD MÄM FESTIVAL

"For free and outside in the cultural summer garden"

A mini festival celebrating the release of the new Mäd Mäm zine with booths, a small exhibition and 5 bands (no genre definition) ranging from indie to experimental to HC punk. Mäd Mäm is a magazine that aims to increase the visibility of Flinta* people in the music scene.

The Mad Express

A train occupied full of obsessed musicians that crosses genre boundaries, only here is the end of the line madness!

Guner Kunier

Güner Künier comes from the Turkish port city of Izmir. She moved to Germany with her family in the early 1990s. Künier started playing the guitar at the age of 10, and by the time she was 13 she was already playing in bands and organizing concerts. When she turns 18, she initially stops making music, also because of her cultural background; she is studying industrial engineering. But after completing her studies in 2016 – Künier has since moved to Berlin – she devoted herself to her art and music again. She releases live videos, music clips, an EP and gives many concerts. In December 2022, Künier will release her debut album "Ask" (Turkish for "love").

Güner Künier lays her voice over old-school and industrial beats, accompanied by lo-fi guitars and synthesizer sounds, Künier sings in English and Turkish. Their debut album "Ask" is inspired by the psychedelic sound of the 70's, the synthwave of the 80's and contemporary styles. This mix of genres results in Güner Künier's unique sound. In recent years she has impressed with numerous live performances.

No thank you

Little break, big break, menopause, death! No thanks are your favorite band from your shitty childhood. Anarchic electronic dance music between piss and IDEAL. You can hate them or love them, you can't ignore them. In August 2022, the duo was born out of hatred and frustration. They actually wanted to release a darkwave album, but they got bored of it, so Adnan and Nadine dumped it and wrote Planet Helmut. They wrote, produced and mixed the ACID PUNK EP, which was highly praised by Bierschinken and Away From Life, in a quiet room. Shortly thereafter, they ran on Zündfunk as a promising young feminist punk band, a mixture of NDW and garage lofi punk. While the gatekeepers of veteran punk rock turned their noses up, the TCHIK they are already on tour and the Zündfunk put them on the bands to watch 2023 list. This year they will share the stage with Acht Bucket Chicken Hearts, among others. Be careful when buying eggs!

In the handstand, it's all a matter of perspective. The room stays the same, the people only seem to change and after a short time everything is actually the same as before. Carried by the velvety voice, childhood, weightlessness and human shortcomings are reflected in the harmonious mixture of synthesizers, folk guitar riffs and gentle beats. Hyper folk pop, weird and forgiving. Pet Owner plays songs from their recently released debut album "Natural Behaviour". come and listen

Swoon

Aggressive vocals and melodically hard instrumentals - the Leipzig hardcore 4-piece has been convincing since 2016 with lyrics about world pain and upheavals between angry, wild and melancholically furious riffs, which are accompanied by hard beats. Swoon from Leipzig blast off like a high-speed rhinoceros fleeing a steppe fire and trample down everything that isn't on the stage for stage diving by three.
